Sites, sounds and smells of a grease junkie

Just got back to Minnesota after spending a week in the Valley of the Sun . Now before I tear into this blogs topic of Teeth, let me say, it was FANTASTIC in Phoenix. 80s and 90s all week (minus one day in the upper 50s and rainy). To come back to 34 and rain was a bummer. To wake up Wednesday morning to 27 and a snow storm was even a bigger bummer. C'est la vie. Without further adieu, I give you " Teeth " Let me start out by saying "Teeth" is not good, in the traditional sense. However, it is amazing in the "Oh my God this is so bad it's funny" sense. Here's a bit of the back story of "Teeth." The main character Dawn O'Keefe  who liked to is a high school student who's apparently bought into the whole abstinence thing. However, she soon finds herself drawn to a classmate and fellow abstinence member. One thing leads to another and it ends up the two of them making out. She says no. He continues anyway. That'...

He didn't really know where he was going, but he did know he was going somewhere, because you really have to go somewhere, don't you? Thanks for those words Shel. If you haven't ever read "Lafcadio The Lion Who Shot Back " I would recommend it. You don't have to have kids to enjoy this book. It's a clever tale, as most of Shel Silverstein's are, though this one seems to have a more serious tone that a lot of his other work (Boy Named Sue for example). Regardless, it's good and I like it. Or maybe I just like the book and Shel because I want to look like him. Enjoy.

About a month ago, I thought I'd retire this blog. Started a new blog and hoped it would inspire me. It didn't. The blog was scattered. Felt like I was lost in the blogosphere and my compass had gone awry. I even had been considering giving up the whole blog thing. Back and forth I went. To blog or to not blog. Then it happened. Focus. I knew I needed a focus. I needed something specific. Not just the mindless wanderings of yet another dude on the net. So my focus will be on...media. Not media like the news necessarily, but news like movies, books, music, other blogs, etc. Seems like a good fit, I'm a bit of a media nerd anyway. Time will tell as it always does. I won't just focus on new stuff, but stuff I like. I'm sure I'll scatter other things throughout, since it is MY blog, but I'd like to share with you the music, movies and books I love. There are plenty, so I shouldn't be at a loss for topics to cover. Hope you enjoy. JM ... I've...

I'm just a square goin' nowhere. I'm closing this blog down. I've wanted to for a while now...long story short, I just need to find a new stretch of electronic real estate to scribe on. You can find me here from now on: http://squaregoingnowhere.blogspot.com/ Enjoy.
